Overwhelm and I had quite the love affair. And like many love affairs, there were upsides and downsides.
Clutter, brain fog, constant rushing, sometimes looking like I’d been dragged through a hedge backwards - these were downsides.
But somehow they were outweighed by my desire to feel needed, productive, worthy, good enough.
And things appeared to be going smoothly. Few people knew about my time in hospital after I had my daughter when the pressure, and complete disregard for my own needs blew up into acute anxiety. And they certainly didn’t see me furiously hiding any evidence of a continued struggle - the mess, exhaustion, stress and anxiety.
But when burnout set in I knew I had to change, and help came in three forms, yoga, EFT and decluttering. And as I started to feel increased energy, freedom and clarity, I knew I was onto something.
Having seen how these powerful yet gentle techniques have transformed my own life, I have immersed myself in practicing and studying them, adding in the missing piece of a deeper understanding of the pillars of optimal health through Functional Medicine. And now as an EFT practitioner, yoga teacher and Functional Medicine Health Coach, I share these tools.

Having spent over a decade supporting women to live more authentically and transform their lives, I am deeply committed to helping people to take control of their health, energy, and meet their needs - not in a selfish way but so that they can fill their own cup, to be the fullest, most generous, happiest version of themselves in this life.
The come home to happiness method is a holistic approach. We’ll look at all the ways clutter, overwhelm and commitments detract from your capacity for joy, energy and wellness, then tackle them at the root so you can experience a calmer, more aligned, more intentional life and keep it that way!

With EFT or ‘tapping’, the power really is in your hands…
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique, a gentle, non-invasive tool that, as the name suggests, helps us gain freedom from strong emotions, ingrained beliefs that hold us back, and even physical issues such as pain and cravings.
It involves using the fingers to tap on acupuncture points, on the face and body, while focusing on the issue at hand.
I think of it like peeling back an onion skin, the layers of superficial but strong emotions are gradually peeled away to get to the core of an issue, allowing it to be understood more clearly, acknowledged and released.
The technique is useful for letting go of unconscious or long-held patterns of behaviour or thinking. If you find yourself caught in repeated loops and you're ready to move on, EFT can be a very effective tool.
It also helps deal with issues that feel intense now, reducing the intensity, and allowing you to take a step back and decide the best way to act rather than react.

We may not be able to change our genes but we can really influence how they are expressed by the choices we make.
As an FM health coach, trained in positive psychology, motivational interviewing, Functional Medicine principles, psychology of eating, IFM food plans and mind-body techniques, I can support you to identify what makes you tick as well as providing you with solid, well researched information and techniques around diet, movement, stress and sleep, empowering you to take charge of your health.
